An old electrician, a toaster and a hacker daughter have one night to outwit the AI that switched off the city.
A funny, warm, LucasArts-style point-and-click adventure with inventory puzzles, branching dialogue and a toaster hero. Play free in your browser.

A cyberpunk point-and-click adventure in the spirit of the LucasArts classics
Ferropolis, 2089. Tonight the lights go out. OVERMIND, the AI that runs the city grid, has decided that people are “losses in the grid”. It cut the power to the lower city and rewired every machine. Your fridge has opinions. Your kettle is on strike. Your toaster wants to eat you.
You are Grey, an electrician pushing sixty who built this grid thirty years ago. Your daughter Mira is stuck in the hospital basement next to a generator that won't start, and the only link between you is an old radio. In between: a locked workshop, a suspicious neighbour, a vending machine with a loyalty programme, a laundry that fights back — and a very long night. Lucky you have Crouton, the toaster you've just un-rewired. He's small, he's brave, and machines think he's one of them.
It is a classic point-and-click in the spirit of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, with modern comforts: automated testing guarantees there are no dead ends, and the in-game “Ask Mira” button offers three levels of hints, from a nudge to the full solution. It is also a prequel: the last minute of this story is the first minute of the platformer VOLTBREAKER.
One world: the Voltbreaker universe
VOLTBREAKER and The Quest of Voltbreaker share one cyberpunk city, one rogue AI and one stubborn old electrician. The Quest is the prequel — its last minute is the platformer's first minute. Play them in story order, or jump straight into the action.
